Sight 2 Sound is a quality independent high street retailer that has been serving its customers for over 26 years. We have three stores plus our website all stocking the very latest in Photographic, DVD, TV and Hi-Fi equipment. All our stores have friendly, knowledgeable staff and pride ourselves on our personal service. So whether you purchase from our Website or one of our stores you know that you will be getting the right item for you.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Your Order

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on the icon next to the item that you wish to buy. You will be asked for your name, address and payment details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

After submitting an order via our website we will send you an order acknowledgment by email confirming receipt of your order and details of the goods that you have ordered. Please note this email is an acknowledgment and is not an acceptance of your order.

Any email or other electronic acknowledgment by us of receipt of an order placed by you does not constitute legal acceptance by us of your order.

Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between us will take place when the goods you have ordered have been dispatched to you, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have canceled it in accordance with our cancellation and returns policy.

We reserve the right to not to supply goods and to cancel your order in the event of a pricing error or omission. We reserve the right to cancel your order if it is outside the UK.

Credit Card Security

The checkout is secure - at the checkout observe the padlock in the your status bar at bottom of screen (use View/Status bar to turn status bar on on if necessary). You can double click on the padlock to view our certificate, Instant SSL Pro from Comodo. The certificate states that a Web site is secure and genuine - consult your browser help for further explanation.

Your personal details and credit card information are encrypted over the internet with strong industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption. Credit card information is not retained after an order has been processed. You may also telephone us with your card details if you prefer - select "By Telephone" as your payment method.

Security Code

This is a 3 digit number on the reverse side of your card.



We need this code to process Visa and Mastercard payments.

Product Availability

For items that are in stock we will endeavour to ship them out within 24hrs on a 24hr delivery service. This is providing the order is received before 2.30pm. If the order is received after this time it will go out the next day again on a 24Hr delivery service. No deliveries will be made on Bank Holidays or Sundays. Any items scheduled to be delivered on a Bank Holiday or a Sunday will be delivered the next working day. For items which are out of stock we will aim to supply them within 10 working days subject to Manufacturers stock availability. Items out of stock and placed on back order will be credited immediately on request. As stock changes rapidly, please state a second choice in case the first is out of stock.

Delivery Costs

Cost shown for P+P (Postage and Packaging) is for UK Mainland only. D Due to the charges imposed on us by the courier company there is an extra cost of £40.00 on top of the UK Mainland price if you live in Southern Ireland or the Channel Islands and £20.00 if you live in Northern Ireland or Northern Scotland

Returns Policy

All returns/unwanted items

You Must contact our Returns Department on 01452 309366 for Authorization to return goods to ourselves. Any goods received without an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Number will be rejected.

7 day Cooling Off Period

Within 7 working days of receipt of your goods, you may return any of the following items to Sight2Sound for any reason for a full refund. By law, when buying at a distance you are allowed 7 day from receipt of goods in which to change your mind. This may be because you made an impulse buy or simply chose the wrong item. It is not a "try before you buy” period. The item must be un-opened and un-used. We will only refund the items price and not the original postage costs. Any items returned that have been opened or used will not be refunded or we will make a deduction from the full amount so that can re-sell it as a used item at a reduced price. Any postage costs requested outside the standard postage option will not be refunded after the goods have been dispatched. You are responsible for your own shipping cost to send products back. You should make sure you use a postal service that can prove we have taken delivery. The 7 day cooling off period does not apply to items purchased in one of our stores. It should also be noted that small items less than £50 should be returned via Royal Mail recorded delivery. Anything more expensive should be returned to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery. You are responsible and must make sure that the item is adequately packaged so that it does not get damaged in transit. Goods received back that have been poorly packaged and have been damaged will not be refunded

Refunds

If the Item you are returning is for a refund then Please be aware that refunds can take up to 30 days from the time that we receive the item back. In all cases you must contact the returns department before you send the item back.

Goods Received Faulty

In the rare case that you receive an item that is faulty "out of the box" you must contact the returns dept within 48 hrs of receiving it. We will arrange its collection at our cost. Once we have received the item back we will in the first instance check the item for its fault and once confirmed we will replace it at no charge. If the item is found to have no fault we will send it back to you and make an administration charge of £15 to cover our time and carriage costs. Should this be the case we will notify via email.

12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty

If a product becomes faulty in the following 12 months of ownership it is repaired under the manufacturer’s warranty. This will involve returning the product back to it's manufacturer for repair or replacement.

Sight2Sound is always happy to intervene on a customer’s behalf if they have any difficulty in getting a manufacturer repair. You can send your product back to us within the first 12 months but we only send it on to the manufacturer so it's quicker if you go direct. We can of course send you all manufacturers’ details to help you with this.

The guarantee may become void if the equipment has been impacted, dropped, affected by liquids, sand or moisture, tampered with or affected by chemical/battery corrosion or leakage. In rare cases where the item is uneconomical to repair the manufacturer may replace the item or if discontinued replace with the nearest model.

We recommend you keep the items box and packaging and either send your warranty card in or keep it to hand as these are usually required. You will also need proof of purchase which is the invoice that we provide you. We can provide a duplicate invoice if it becomes lost but there is an administration and postage charge of £5.

Extended manufacturers' warranty (beyond 12 months)

Some manufacturers offer warranties beyond the legal required 12 month period. If you need to make a return under such a warranty you can contact the manufacturer direct for a speedier resolution to the problem or you can send the faulty items back to us to handle the repair for you (NB This will add time on to the repair service to allow for our handling and processing of the goods).

If you are Returning an item to us please include a copy of your Invoice and a short note informing us of the reason for return to the address shown below.
